Canoe builder info

I have been looking at a 15' flat back canoe.
Info on forward deck reads made in Fort Henry , Ont (Ontario) build date 1939?

Builder may have sir name Key.

Is there any info on builds in that area at that time?

There may be a twist to the puzzle.
There is another similar boat claiming to be built in Port Sydney, Ontario, by a J Kay.

I am not an expert either, especially on Canadian canoe builders. My guess is that Ontario might have had nearly as many (or more) canoe builders as the ones listed at http://wcha.org/legacypages/maine-list.htm from Maine. Even the experts may never have much information about all of these. Sorry,
