canadian model 50 floats again

quick shots of a canadian I picked up in South River, Ontario last year. One on the South River, and one in suburban hell. Owned by Tom Wattie, bought it from his son (look up Algonquin Park Rangers, he is linked to Tom Thomson as he was stationed at the Northwest area of the park - however sometime before this one was built) Canoe was in the rafters of the cottage for years and in really nice shape.
Cant take the credit for the restoration, I stripped the interior but John Hupfield did the terriffic canvas job, stem splice and finish. Now to cane the seats.....

Hey Dick,
returned home after the weekend; humidity was almost unbearable so the short paddle up north was sufficient!
Would'nt dare take this down the Grand River (shallow rock garden), we use the aluminum for that!

Sure I'll admit to owning this P.O.S. springbok, we use it to polish rocks on the Grand
Note my son doesnt seem impressed by it either....
