Border crossing question

LOVES Wooden Canoes
I plan on crossing at the Thousand Islands entry point in August with 2 canoes on my truck. One is my tripping Chestnut Chum, the other is an old Morris, no canvas.
I am selling the Morris to a friend in Canada, actually, Manitoba, Canada. Does anyone know the fee's I should expect as an American bringing a canoe into Ontario to sell for $300 in Manitoba?
Thanks.

Thanks, even if I have to pay that much it will be fine. I just wan't sure if there would be some larger fee that would be a deal breaker.
The canoe is in poor condition to the average person so I don't expect much of a problem.

Thank You for the links, very helpful.

Peter is the only one right.. You as a private citizen have to pay the HST for Manitoba; 13 percent..

$39.

NAFTA says that since the Morris was made in North America it is exempt from duty.

Do bring the bill of sale you are giving the buyer with your contact information on it.

I've taken two boats for sale across the border in recent years and one canoeing pole. The latter resulted in a paperwork comedy! Pole valued at $80. New agent dutifully filled out paperwork in quadruple.. Pulled alongside after gate..went in to pay the $5.40. Old veteran agent looked at paperwork, threw it in circular file and wished me a nice trip.

We don't have HST here, it is only GST and PST separate and we don't mind an extra $39 anyway.
