Black Walnut

I dont know where they would be used but if anyone is interested...there is a listing on Criagslist in Maine for Black Walnut...10' X 7" wide X 1" thick..air dried in a cellar for 10 years! Wonder if they would make good paddle stock! No price listed...think person is looking for best offer!

Walnut is definitely good paddle wood, but I would start with 5/4, so 1" might be a little thin, unless it's rough and generously cut.
Otherwise, decks, seat frames, thwarts, etc.
