Basket weaving?

I ripped some nice ash for gunnels, and have 8 long, thin, strips leftover; looking at the strips, they might be good for weaving baskets. They're about 1/32" thick, 14&1/2 feet long, and come in two widths: 4 each @ 7/8 and 11/16. Located in NE Illinois, can meet somewhere or pick up here. Not sure how I'd ship them... coiled up? Free to a good home; if anyone's interested, let me know ASAP, else they're kindling.

The strips coiled up into a 20" diameter, without stressing them... should be easy to ship, if anyone wants them...

ash strips

Hello I would love to have the strips and try to make something. I weave baskets. But when the ash is
machine split it weakens the material. It splits very easy. That is why hand pounded ash is the best.
I would be happy to pay for the shipping. Send me a message. Thank you!
