Steve Wingard is paddling and sailing his 1940 Peterborough Canoe all the way around Lake Superior! Each Summer Steve explores a different 200-300 miles of coastline. He is circumnavigating the big lake slowly over several years.

Steve is a member of our chapter-- Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I've been working on an article about his adventures to submit to "Wooden Canoe".

Our chapter also includes a couple of gifted birch bark builders-- and I think there's a story in that, too... with some wonderful pictures!
