After 17 years of looking, the Finger Lakes Boating Museum finally has a home! They have just received as a donation the old Taylor Wine headquarters in Hammondsport, NY. See this article"

I had the pleasure of visiting them last week, and while they have a ways to go, there is a lot of activity and enthusiasm that should lead to a very successful grand opening celebration in August.
They have a number of canoes (mostly Penn Yan of course, but a few other interesting things), as well as a great collection of other watercraft, including the Finger Lakes signature boat, the trout boat.
They plan to open in June, but I understand that Chapter One has a visit planned for Memorial Day weekend. I suspect any WCHA member would be welcome to attend.
