I did 2 of them. 1 with a 30” blade for solo lake paddling with an Indian stroke. 1 with a 25” blade for river paddling.
They are strong , light with a epoxy edge.
The frames are made of maple ( I am presently doing bear paws in a black walnut )
I String them with braided nylon I get from Faber.
That way the are not only for show but also go ( it lasts 4x longer in rough terrain)
I put duck tape on the backside of the paddle Them mix west system epoxy with wood flour until it is fairly stiff. Build the edge and later file it with a wood file to shape. Then sand it after it has hardened
