#818361 16 Square stern boat

Hello:
Your boat, OT serial # 81836, is indeed a square stern model, 16' in length, built in January and February of 1924. It is CS grade with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, spruce seats and thwarts. It was equipped with outside stem, floor rack, keel and sponsons, originally painted dark green and shipped to Berlin, NH on 22 April 1924. I'm having difficulty attaching a copy of the build record; perhaps one of the others can supply.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I didn`t see any indication or mention of oars, but those could always be a later addition.
