77760 Old Town To Be or not to be 1924

Hi All, the little old canoe I have probably is from 1924 but the paperwork shows a 17 foot canoe. How do you measure the length properly. I went from tip to tip... Lie I said this beauty has been canvassed and stripped: all the hard work, now it just needs someone to glue and varnish and cane the seats. Maybe not me...

You need to measure past the tips to the outsides of the curved ends. This should also be stamped in the stem past the serial number near the center of the canoe. The canoe with 77760 doesn't match since this shipped with twenty inch long Otca style decks which don't look like the ones on there now. The numbers should be stamped in each end so a picture of the other end might also help if it is more clear.
