An Old Town with slotted bolts and trim washers instead of the diamond heads. Also has aluminum stem bands. Owner thinks all this is original but the canvas was stapled at the stems so maybe not?

The Old Town canoe with serial number 202018 is a 16 foot long Guide model with a keel. It was built between June, 1974 and June, 1975. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on July 22nd, 1975 to Sacramento, California. It was damaged in shipment and returned on October 14th, 1975. The repairs required 6.5 hours and made it a second grade (#2) as shown on the back side of the card. It was then shipped to Martinsburg, West Virginia on August 2nd, 1976. Scans of both sides of this build record can be found by following the links behind the thumbnail images attached below.
These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. Thanks Benson. The name on the back of the card is the current owner (or father of). The slotted bolts surprised me!
