1920's Carlton. First Restore For Me.

Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
Well, here is the story in pictures of my first restoration. I learned a lot and made more mistakes than I care to talk about. I have to finish the front seat and do a little more sanding and varnishing but I should be paddling by the weekend. Thanks to all of you for all your posts (I gleaned a great deal of info just reading old posts).

My next one will be better, but for my first shot at woodworking I am okay with the result. Better than letting these works of art rot away.

Well done...on any restoration there will always be a thing or two that you see that others won't...that's part of the process. Enjoy paddling it.

Great work! I am in my first restoration as well and have found a new appreciation for the craftsmanship of the experts who contribute to this site. They are invaluable to this process.
