18' Old Town Canoes

The Old Town canoe with serial number 152989 is an 18 foot long, CS (Common Sense) grade, Otca model with a keel. It was built between May and July, 1949. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on June 11th, 1951 to the C. E. Cobb Camps near Portland, Maine.
The Old Town canoe with serial number 157207 is an 18 foot long, CS (Common Sense) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with a keel. It was built between February and August, 1952. The original exterior paint color was dark red. It was shipped on June 21st, 1954 to the Winona Camps in Bridgton, Maine.
The Old Town canoe with serial number 161297 is an 18 foot long, CS (Common Sense) grade, Otca model with short 16 inch decks, a keel, and sponsons. It was built between December, 1953 and February, 1954. The original exterior paint color was dark red. It was shipped on June 21st, 1954 to the Winona Camps in Bridgton, Maine.

These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe (although that doesn't seem likely). It sounds like you are going to be very busy for quite a while.
