Old Town #70408 - 16

The Old Town canoe with serial number 70408 is a 16 foot long, CS grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with Western red cedar planking, closed spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch trim, and a keel. It was built between March and June, 1922. The original exterior paint color was light blue. It shipped on June 24th, 1922 to Big Moose, New York. This scan was created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
