Has anybody heard of a Macormac manufactured in Rockwood Maine? The guy wasnt sure of the name but thought Rockwood was right. Waiting on photos.

The list of Maine builders at http://wcha.org/legacypages/maine-list.htm has several from Rockwood but none of the names look close to Macormac. There is a current builder of wood and fiberglass Merrimack canoes as described at http://merrimackcanoes.com/our-history that started in New Hampshire. Let us know what you find out,

There were (are) numerous camps in the area around Rockwood. Although the White's were the most common guide canoe there were also local builders at some of these camps. There may very well have been a McCormick that has not been listed in the legacy pages. Rollin or Jerry would know if there was.
