I purchased a 1914 Old Town IF at the assembly auction I will be restoring this winter. It has closed gunnels and is missing the outwales, cap pieces, and keel. Can anyone tell me the dimensions for these and also what the IF designation stood for?
    Thanks, Pete Pride

You can find these dimensions in the responses at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?t=3815 and the IF model is generally understood to stand for an Ideal Fishing canoe as Dan mentioned in response to one of your other messages. This is really a very small forum so you don't need to post the same question multiple times. Good luck with your restoration,

    Benson
