Wooden boat advice to customers

Does anyone have a set of instructions or advice about use and maintenance that they give owners of wooden boats?
I'm thinking of things like only let the hull touch water or grass, only be in the boat when it's floating and things like that. I've started writing one, but I'm sure I have missed things.

I'd add one based upon a recent experience. Don't leave a nice old boat sitting right side up in some ones lawn if they have chickens and peacocks roaming around loose.

Like any good ornithologist, i am always vigilant about where my peacocks are; its only polite to not let them roam loose.
