Wabasca Canoe Company

I own a canvas covered boat with a motor mount piece labeled with "Wabasca Canoe Co" Max HP 7.5 Cap 900 bs. Its a beautiful boat but does need some work.

Can anyone give me a bit of background on it or possible value?

There have been several threads here about this company so you can use the search function near the magnifying glass symbol in the upper right to find them. The information at http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_detail.aspx?id=ZWA indicates that they were in business from 1981 to 2004. The messages at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?57 are the best information about the worth of a canoe like this. A canoe with a square end may sell for a bit less than one with two pointed ends. The classifieds at http://classifieds.wcha.org/ are often one of the fastest ways to find a good new home for it if you want to sell it. Please mention the WCHA to the buyer if you do sell it.
