Thomas Eynon

[Canoeal]

Does anyone have any information on a builder Thomas Eynon? I was at a local club checking out 10 wooden canoes and 1 bark canoe for them They had 4 c-4s. One of the fours was an Eynon. (the others were a Peterborough, an English and a Walter Dean, all metallic battens, and 3 were in near perfect condition. I am trying to get rough dates for all of them and any info I can gather on Eynon.

Hi Al,

Thomas Eynon and Thos. Eynon & Sons were canoe and boat builders from Toronto, Ontario. I don’t know much about them; they seem to have been active between mid 1920’s and early 1950’s and apparently concentrated on building racing crafts.
