Square Drive Bolts

The 13' Peterborough cleaned up beautifully. It came missing its seats and square drive bolts to hang the seats. The seats were easy but the bolts could not be found in any US hardware catalogs. Could anyone give me a source for 3/16" square drive bolts?

That looks really great.
I have never worked on/owned a Peterborough but several Chestnuts has passed through my hands. I still have a Fox in the garage.
I do not recall any of them using square drive bolts for seat hangers. Not for either caned or slatted seats. The square drive screws (on my canoes) were only used to hold on the outside rails.
The seats were/are secured with carriage bolts. Those should be easier to locate.

Hi RC, nice job on the canoe, looks great. I've done a number of Peterborough canoes and like Mike said all had the seats hung with carriage bolts preferably brass. If you can't find any let me know and I can send you some?

Sweet looking little canoe! Please, what's that lovely work-in-progress in the background? I see a really wide sheer plank and what appear to be mounted-from-the-inside D shaped outwales. Nice dramatic sweep up to the stem tip too!
