I painted up the new OTCA a few weeks ago.
Varinished, then a couple weeks later, just before her first on water adventure, I mounted the stem bands.
The only places I had paint adhesion problems were the same places where a turpentine soaked rag was use to scrub off bedding compound.
I'm pretty confident that the cleanup lead to the problem because some canoe length encouters with mis-judged rocks only peeled paint along the stem band.
