Hi: Chasing details of builder and/or provenance of this strange little (9'8") bark canoe. It's made of one piece of bark, painted below the waterline, with external stems and inwales and outwales nailed together with clenched iron nails. No root at all used in construction. Builder's signature reads "K. Skahan, Mtl, Que. May have been connected somehow to the 1967 Centennial Canoe Pageant in Canada. Any leads to who this builder and and how this funny little canoe came to be much appreciated.
