Serial Number Old Town

Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 191488 is an 18 foot long fiberglass Carleton model with no keel that weighed 89 pounds. It was built in September, 1972. The original exterior gelcoat color was dark green. It shipped on October 23rd, 1973 to Durham, North Carolina. The back side of this record shows that there were some scratch marks which were sanded and buffed out. These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
