Serial number help

Sounds like an Old Town serial number, but pictures always help. Somebody will be along with the OT records, and you may be able to tell if the build record matches your canoe.

Well, some pictures or additional information will be necessary to answer your question as Paul mentioned. This is a very common length so the Old Town, Carleton, and Kennebec canoes with this serial number all happen to be 17 feet long. The Old Town shipped to Haileybury, Ontario, Canada in 1911. The Carleton shipped to Saint Regis Falls, New York in 1923. The Kennebec shipped to location number 25-83 in 1925. Another option is to use the information at http://dragonflycanoe.com/wood-canoe-identification-guide/ to identify the builder of your canoe and then post the results here so someone can provide the appropriate build record information. Please reply here if you have other questions. Thanks,

Benson
