I have a what I believe is an Old Town Canoe that my Dad found in the Wappingers Creek in Salt Point, NY in the mid-1960s. As a teenager I helped restore it, and am now using it with my grandkids. The bow and stern stems are shorter (by two ribs) than the other Old Town Canoes I have. The serial number is 16 followed by 13054.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 13054 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, HW (heavy water) model with red western cedar planking, closed spruce gunwales, long ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, spruce outside finish rails, a keel, and outside stems. It was built between December, 1909 and April, 1910. The original exterior paint was dark green. It shipped on April 26th, 1910 to Jackson, Michigan. A scan of this build record can be found below.
