LOVES Wooden Canoes
The Old Town canoe with serial number 15687 is a 17 foot long, CS grade, HW model with spruce gunwales, ash decks, thwarts, seats and a keel. It was built between November 1910 and May 1911. The original exterior paint color was olive green. A name may have been painted on the hull but the writing for this and the shipping destination are difficult to read. It appears to have been shipped in June 1911. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below.
