The canoe referred to in the "Primer and Paint" discussion: Now complete and awaiting her re-introduction to the waters. To simplify telling the whole story, I have linked the whole discussion about this canoe over on canoetripping.com. Non members of that forum will not be able to expand the photos in order to see more detail, but there are several wood canvas canoe enthusiasts on Canoetripping, and WCHA members may enjoy some of the discussions around those canoes and their owners, thereby justifying joining that forum.
Restoration of an early Chestnut Bobs Special
I picked up another Chestnut restoration project recently. The seller presented it as a "pre-fire Chestnut Bobs Special". Now that I've had it a while, and started working on it, I'm thinking it's a Chestnut Ranger- one of their Prospector series of canoes. It measures 15' x 35" x 13.5" deep...
