The Old Town canoe with serial number 185684 is a 34 foot long, War canoe model with a keel and sponsons. It was built between November, 1970 and February, 1971. The original fiberglass exterior was unpainted. It shipped on March 31st, 1971 to Kings Mills, Ohio. A scan of this build record can be found below.
This scan was created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. Interesting…..Robert Halsey was an amusement park developer and designer. Kings Mills had a large amusement park with water features. I can only assume it was incorporated into the park some how.
