Recommended repair technique for damage?

I recently took a trip on the Potomac with my cedar strip canoe and ran over some rocks. All the scratches I could see are in the varnish only, with one exception. This scratch, near where the stem would be (I built stemless) shows a bit of the weave of the S-glass. Add epoxy over it?

Battle scars.
If you patch everyone, you will be a busy man ! Sand and reapply epoxy, and varnish if you want,. Me ? I'd let it go and go paddle some more. If it gets down to bare wood ? Then it's time to fix.
