Recipe for the filler

I am wondering if anyone has the formula for the filler using white lead. What are the exact amounts of all the materials.
Am putting together all of the materials to start the restoration of Skeezix. What type of canvas is the best to us and should it be treated? Have found very good ash to replace all of the trim.
The kitchen is on schedule so hope to start the canoe in mid January. Grover
