Penobscot Canoes

LOVES Wooden Canoes
OK , been a real long time since I have been here on this forum......been busy collecting, buying, selling bamboo rods, restoring a couple of Chris Crafts........anyways, looking for photos that show the shear line of a Penobscot, anyone got one???? Todd

Penobscot models in general looked very much like the equivalent Old Town models which is not surprising since they were designed by the same person. Some Penobscot shear lines from their catalogs are shown below. More images like these are shown in the historic collection available from http://store.wcha.org/The-Historic-...pany-Catalog-Collection-Version-2-CD-ROM.html which includes two Penobscot catalogs. Welcome back,

Benson

Thanks Benson

Should of figured u were the go 2 guy, what I would do to have bought a Notacrack 16 in A grade and long decks...must have been gorgeous,, the boat I was interested in is a guide, so I can assume that HW would have built something along the lines of the early OT guides? Thanks Again, Todd
