Penn Yan Rainbow deck size?

I'm working on a 1944 Penn Yan Rainbow (16') and need to make replacement decks. Unfortunately I don't have anything to use as a template. It is the Spruce model, so I'm planning on using maple, but what size should they be?

Does anyone have easy access to a Rainbow and can you please measure the deck?

Does anyone have any resources they can recommend to help me identify the original paint colors/pattern on Penn Yan canoes built between 1948 and the early 1960s? I've searched the forum, and the WCHA store without luck. Any catalog examples, photos, or book recommendations would be greatly...
