The Old Town canoe with serial number 127533 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, low end HW model with a keel and thwarts in place of seats. It was built between April, 1939 and May, 1940. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on May 22nd, 1940 to St. Paul, Minnesota. The back side of the card indicates that it had not moved far when there was a previous request for a copy of this record on September 28th, 1972. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.
It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions,
This interesting, I had a younger "cousin" of this canoe,
images of build record and launching after restore, back at Moose Lake (BWCA) next to the Boy Scout base it lived at.
