The Old Town canoe with serial number 67263 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade Charles River model with red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between October, 1921 and January, 1922. The original exterior paint color was maroon. It shipped on January 30th, 1922 to Rochester, New York. This build record scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
