The Old Town canoe with serial number 153699 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, Yankee model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, and a keel. It was built between November, 1949 and June, 1950. The original exterior paint color was dark green enamel. It was shipped on June 23rd, 1950 to Ticonderoga, New York.
