The Old Town canoe with serial number 138550 is an 18 foot long Guide's model in GS (guide's special) grade with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash trim, a keel, a floor rack, mast seat, mast step, and a rudder. It was built between October and December, 1943. The original exterior paint color was G.S. (guide's special) green. It was shipped on May 10th, 1944 to Barberton, Ohio.
