Old Towne - 60s maybe?

Looking for build and original info on serial:
171796

The canoe has been handed down and is in great condition; however it appears the varnish is wearing in a few spots. Would like to strip and refinish but wondering about replacement of seats, some screws that are a bit wobbly ... As far as I know, it's been in my wife's family so we'd like to keep passing it on.

Good morning. Your canoe is a 15' 50 Pound Model equipped with a keel, outside stems, a mast seat and 2 painter rings. It was built in 1962-63, painted dark green and sold to Robert Speer of Ypsilanti, MI
