The Old Town with serial number 135097 is a 16 foot long Yankee model in CS (Common Sense or the middle) grade with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between March and July, 1942. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on July 21st, 1942 to Chicago, Illinois. A scan of this build record can be found below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
