The Old Town canoe with serial number 208852 is a 17 foot long Chipewyan model that weighed 71 pounds. It was built in July, 1975. The original exterior color was green. It shipped on July 22nd, 1975 to Dingmans Ferry, Penna. The back side of this card shows that it had some vinyl skuffs and was purchased on July 16th, 1976 from Sparrowbush, N. Y and moved to Scrub Oak, N. Y. Scans of both sides of this build record can be found by following the links at the attached thumbnail images below.
These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
