The Old Town canoe with serial number 176364 is a 15 foot long lightweight model with a keel. It was built between June and July, 1966. The original exterior paint color was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It shipped on July 26th, 1966 to Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was damaged and returned on January 5th, 1967. The repairs required five new ribs, 5 feet of planking, new stem bands, new canvas, and refinishing with G. S. green paint as shown on the back side of the card. It was then shipped to Monroe, Conneticut on April 17th, 1967. Scans of both sides of this build record can be found by following the links behind the thumbnail images attached below.
These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/about-the-wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions,
