Recently bought what I believe is a 1974 tripper. Serial number XTC985581174F, was wondering if you had more info on it.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with the hull identification number XTC98558M74F and serial number 198558 is an 18 foot long, Chipewyan model that weighed 75 pounds. It was built in December, 1973. The original exterior vinyl color was dark green. It shipped on January 15th, 1974 to Freeport, Maine. A scan showing this build record can be found below.
