Hi all, just seen an advert on e-bay for a Old Town canoe,with the following Number: 367897 16
anyone got info on what it is,& how old it's likley to be?

Our serial number scans only go through 210999. You can send $3 to Old Town for part number 01.1332.0100 as shown at http://oldtown.wcha.org/parts.html to get a copy of the build record. Old Town stopped keeping detailed records in the late 1980s but yours may be before that.

anyone got info on what it is,& how old it's likley to be?

The picture of the hull identification number at http://i.ebayimg.com/07/!B9zMy,!!Wk~$(KGrHqJ,!h4EzLjJvMsSBM6zt)YMiQ~~_3.JPG indicates that it shipped in October of 1981. The seller describes it as a 16 foot long Guide model and the other pictures appear to be consistent with this description. You can contact the factory for a copy of the build record as Kathy mentioned although that part number has been removed and her page link directs you to the Island Falls Canoe web site since they are making wooden canoes for Old Town now.
