Curious about Wooden Canoes
Just acquired what we think is a 15' 1967 Old Town Lightweight sailing canoe and rig - serial number 179099. Seeking build sheet to recanvas and restore to original color. Thanks so much!

Congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 179099 is a 15 foot long Featherweight model with Dacron covering, a keel, a full length bang plate, hand thwarts, a floor rack, a mast seat, a mast step, and a rudder. It was built between October,1967 and February, 1969. The original exterior paint color was pale blue. It shipped on February, 24th, 1969 to North Kansas City, Missouri. The back side of this card shows that it was reported stolen in Independence, Missouri. The police department there may have more information in their records. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
