Old Town Dinghy S/N Search Request

I have aquired an Old Town Dinghy serial number 176184-9, and would like to find out the manufacturing information on it. I would also like a copy of the build sheet, if possible. I plan to recover the bottom, as the rest is in great shape. It has never been recovered, or restored. The canvas, however, is in shreads.
Thanks,

Hi Bob-- Re-check the number, because 176184 comes up as a 15 foot featherweight canoe. Original outside covering was dacron, it had a keel and was painted dark green and shipped to Dexter, Michigan 6-9-66.

The scan of this record is attached below. If you click on it, it will become bigger.

Scans of approximately 210,000 records were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Additional information about the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. Please join WCHA or make a tax deductable contribution so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA, http://www.wcha.org/wcha_video.php to watch a 10 minute video about WCHA and our programs and http://www.wcha.org/join.html to join. If you are already a WCHA member, THANK YOU!

Please re-check the number and we'll try again if what you have is a 9 foot dinghy and not a featherweight canoe!

Kathy
