Thread drift, for which I apologize.
In Benson’s comment #18, the last entry in the linked Old Town build record indicates that the canoe was refurbished and returned to A.D. Phillips in Northeast Harbor, ME. Phillips was a noted map maker/artist likely well known to Mainers and visitors to the state. Phillips several illustrated maps of the MooseHead/ Allagash region are of particular interest to those of us who paddle in that region. I find it interesting to sometimes note the celebrities or famous people who have owned Old Town canoes.
