Hello Jerry--
Old Town 174901 is a 16 foot guide model canoe that was completed May--June of 1965. It has 2 3/4" planking and the stern seat was moved 2" forward. It has a keel and was originally painted red. It was shipped on June 25, 1965 to Hoigaard's in Minneapolis. As I am an old Minneapolis person, I know this place... and it was actually in the inner-ring suburb of St. Louis Park. We bought lawn furniture there, and I loved to figure out which tent I liked best. Anyway, if the canoe didn't stray far from its distination, you live near some of my kids. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
