Old Town Canoe serial number

The Old Town canoe with the serial number 200448 is a 16 foot long Otca model with a keel that was built between March and April, 1974. The original fiberglass exterior was clear to show the natural wood. It shipped on May 1st, 1974 to Milford, New Hampshire. The back side of the card shows that the warranty card was returned from Manchester, New Hampshire on March 29th, 1975. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found by following the links at the attached thumbnail images below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or renew.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

Wow. Thank you for that information. I have 1 more question. I'm considering selling this canoe. It probably needs minor cosmetic work. Like trim, and seats need to be given a little TLC. What do you think a fair selling price would be?? I have no clue. The canoe was a given to me a few years ago, and I no longer use it. Thank you in advance.
