The Old Town canoe with serial number 69812 is a 16 foot long, AA grade, Charles River model with red Western cedar planking, closed mahogany gunwales, 48 inch mahogany decks, mahogany trim, a keel, a floor rack, outside stems, a floor rack and two five inch thwarts. It was built between February and March, 1922. The original exterior paint color was dark green with a half inch black stripe with turned down ends edged in gold and a three inch gold color border stripe. This would be similar to several of the designs shown at
http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/designs/thumbnal.html where the stripe extends along the rails and down the stems. It shipped on March 31st, 1922 to Boston, Massachusetts. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link behind the attached thumbnail image below.
This scan was created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Additional information about the project to preserve these records is available at

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions. Good luck with your restoration,
Benson
