Hello Rocky,
Old Town 66470 is a 16 foot CS (common sense or middle) grade HW (heavy water, or lake boat) model canoe that was completed June of 1921. It has red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch thwarts, birch seat frames and a keel. Originally it was dark green. It was shipped to a camp in Greenwich Village, MA, on July 8, 1921. (That was a day before my mother was born, and finding interesting things like that out is what makes looking these up fun for me too!)Image of the scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a larger image.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
