Can you please provide the build sheet for an Old Town with serial number 352045 18?
thanks and have a great day

The hull identification number indicates a 1991 ship date as shown below.

Hi Benson,
I was trying to make out the number on the tag but was unable. Your image is quite clear. I pulled the sailing rig and mast seat from an 18 ft 1970 OTCA that I purchased from WCHA site but only for the OTCA as a customer loved the style. So, I have a spare sail rig (aluminum) and was looking for a nice canoe to build as a sail canoe. This one may do the job if my offer is accepted. If not, many other 17 and 18 footers available.
thanks again
joe

Better late than never? I've recently been scanning some unsorted records and found this one. The Old Town canoe with serial number 352045 is an 18 foot long Guide model with a keel, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, half ribs, rib rails, painter rings, and outside stems that weighed 90 pounds. It was built between February and June, 1990. The original exterior paint color was red on the bottom and yellow on top. A scans showing this build record can be found below.

This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or renew.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

Benson
